Sports Day

We are delighted to share the exciting highlights of the recently concluded UGC Fitness Week at Acharya-IIT from 4th and 8th December, where our students showcased their sportsmanship, skill, and enthusiasm for both indoor and outdoor games.

The indoor gaming arena buzzed with energy as students engaged in a variety of games, fostering camaraderie and healthy competition. From the strategic moves in chess to the quick reflexes required in table tennis, the Tic Tac Ball game, Carrom, Ludo, Dart, Snake and Ladder, Ball in the Basket, and Block Game, every moment was filled with excitement. The participants displayed remarkable talent, making each game a thrilling experience for both players and spectators.

Out on the fields, our students embraced the spirit of outdoor sports with fervor. The football and cricket matches were intense, showcasing teamwork, strategy, and sheer athletic prowess. Lagori, a traditional Indian game, added a touch of nostalgia and cultural richness to the event.

The cheers and applause from the sidelines echoed the sense of community and sportsmanship that defines Acharya-IIT. As a token of appreciation for the outstanding performances, prizes were awarded to the participants who demonstrated exceptional skills and sportsmanship. The applause and cheers reverberated through the campus as the winners stepped forward to receive their well-deserved accolades. The UGC Fitness Week was not just about games; it was an embodiment of our commitment to holistic well-being. The event provided a platform for students to break away from academic routines, engage in physical activities, and promote a healthy lifestyle. Through these games, students not only improved their physical fitness but also developed crucial life skills such as teamwork, leadership, and resilience. Moreover, the UGC Fitness Week served as a stress-buster, allowing students to unwind and rejuvenate their minds. The positive atmosphere created during the event contributed to a sense of community and belonging, fostering a healthy campus culture.
